Caitlin and the Spaceman: The Future Killer Frost Gets the Spotlight in Phil Hester’s ‘Flash: Season Zero’ Story [Exclusive Preview]
In a Reddit Ask Me Anything yesterday, actor Danielle Panabaker confirmed that her Flash TV show character Caitlin Snow will eventually take on her comic book alter ego, the supervillain Killer Frost, stating, "from the beginning I knew that Caitlin Snow becomes Killer Frost. And I can't wait to suit up and duke it out with the boys!" That's good news for fans who want to see more of Caitlin in action, but it might be bad news for those fans who enjoy seeing her on the side of the heroes.
In a timely bit of synergy, Monday's installment of the Flash: Season Zero digital comic also sees Caitlin in action, and this time on the side of the heroes, in a one-shot story by writer and artist Phil Hester that puts Caitlin in the spotlight --- and we have an exclusive preview!
The official synopsis for the story reads: "When an astronaut turned metahuman becomes obsessed with Caitlin Snow, The Flash must protect her from the confused monster wielding a powerful cosmic energy!"
Panabaker hinted during the AMA that her transformation into Killer Frost could begin as soon as Tuesday's season two finale of The Flash, telling fans that they watch on Tuesday to see if the hype is real! That means this digital comic could be one of your last chances to see her as one of the good guys. Check out the exclusive four-page preview below:
The Flash: Season Zero chapter 19 goes on sale on Monday. The story will be collected in print on July 1, in The Flash: Season Zero #10.
