Male circumcision is ubiquitous enough that sometimes its easy to forget that it's something of a contemporary issue. I'm not a doctor, so I won't break down the pros and cons for you here, but the caped Foreskin Man definitely has an opinion on the matter, swooping in to save a baby boy from the knife of "Mr. Mutilator" in a new comic book.

Written by Matthew Hess (who leads a group advocating legal protection from circumcision for boys) with art by Gledson Baretto and colors and letters by Ian Sokoliwski, the 12-page "Foreskin Man" #1 follows through on its official synopsis:

Miles Hastwick is a former corporate scientist who now heads the Museum of Genital Integrity on a small island surrounded by San Diego's famous beaches. Unbeknownst to the public, Miles is also Foreskin Man, an intactivist superhero who rescues innocent boys from the clutches of the world's cleverest and most dangerous circumcisers.

Despite our image's pixelation, the comic is surprisingly clean aside from Foreskin Man's phallic chest emblem. You can see the full, possibly NSFW cover after the jump.

Also, the comic has a small Comic-Con connection with Foreskin man flying past the San Diego Convention Center on his way to confront Mr. Mutilator. Maybe you'll see him while standing in line for a panel?
