I'm not sure that anyone has ever looked at Ghostbusters and thought, "hey, you know what would make this better? Horrifying eye trauma!", but this being the Internet, I'm sure there's at least a few of you out there. If so, good news! It seems that Erik Burnham and Dan Schoening agree with you!

That, at least, is the impression that I'm getting from the handful of preview pages that we have for this week's Ghostbusters Annual 2015, in which the team's reconstruction of their firehouse headquarters is interrupted by the reappearance of the Sandman and... well, let's just say that if you have an "Eye Thing" like I do, you may want to skip page 2. Otherwise, check out a preview below!

If you're big fan of the Ghostbusters, you may remember the Sandman from his original appearance on the Real Ghostbusters cartoon, where he was motivated by the relatively noble goal of ending all war by just putting everyone into a coma forever, and a little less by the whole thing where he's apparently going around removing eyes. But, y'know, that's the restrictions of network television, I guess.

Here's the official solicitation:

Ghostbusters Annual 2015
Erik Burnham (w) • Dan Schoening (a & c)
After the firehouse suffers severe damage in the wake of a supernatural attack, the Ghostbusters find themselves thinking about their past while cleaning up. But their nostalgia may not be innocent, and who knows what they may find at the end of their trip down memory lane…? Join Ray, Peter, Winston, and Egon in their “Daydreams and Nightmares!”
FC • 48 pages • $7.99
