"Batman: Arkham Asylum" isn't the only video game franchise that the Caped Crusader can call his own. He'll also be starring in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," developer WayForward's upcoming video game adaptation of the animated television series of the same name. Borrowing the same visual designs as the TV show, "Brave and the Bold" looks like it will excel in the bright and fun department just as "Arkham Asylum" ruled the realm of grim and gritty. And, if nothing else, "Brave and the Bold" has Guy Gardner.

JC Fletcher at Joystiq posted a preview highlight of the upcoming game over the weekend, including brand new screen shots featuring Batman fighting alongside the mushroom-haired Green Lantern. His power set sounds appropriately awesome, as Fletcher describes the differences between his and Batman's gameplay mechanics: "Guy Gardner, for example, can trap enemies in a green cage, drop the aforementioned weight, and more power-ring-based tricks, while Batman has access to his Batarangs, a stun gun, and other gadgetry."A co-op 2D side-scrolling brawler featuring Batman and guest stars like Guy Gardner? Yeah, I don't care if this is a "kid-friendly game," you can still count me in when it hits stores in September!
