Have you had your fill of Avengers: Age of Ultron collectibles yet? No? Good, because Hot Toys has even more coming to satisfy your chibi-loving needs. The new Avengers: Age of Ultron Cosbaby figures will cute-ify the action heroes and big, bad villains of the upcoming movie, but even the anime influence can't make Ultron adorable. It's unpossible.

Standing at 3.75" tall, the Cosbaby figures feature comically oversized heads and exaggerated facial expressions. All of the upcoming figures will have bobble heads, and some, like Captain America and Thor, will feature accessories that you can use to give them a bit more personality and flair. The sculpts are all fairly consistent, and do look nice. Chibi art isn't for everyone, and doesn't always translate well for every property, but Hot Toys' design team has done a fairly good job of reinterpreting these characters.

The first series will feature Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, an Iron Legion unit, an Ultron Sentry, and an Ultron Sentry Prime, which is only available with the complete set. Wave two will consist solely of the Hulkbuster and the Hulk, while wave three will introduce Hawkeye, Ultron Prime, War Machine (which is curious), the Vision, and finally (finally) a Black Widow. In the teaser image above, you can also see a Tony Stark and what looks like an Iron Man MK VI in the shadows. Though Hot Toys has released some Iron Man Cosbaby figures before, the teaser images look like improved versions of previous figures, and not existing ones, so perhaps there will be a fourth wave or convention exclusive set.

Back to that Black Widow though. So far the lone female Avenger has gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to figures and collectibles, though Hot Toys will have a full sixth-scale ScarJo as part of its Movie Masterpieces line. Comparatively though, the ratio of Cap, Thor and Iron Man to Black Widow alone is ridiculous. There also doesn't appear to be a Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch as part of this series, which is a tiny bit understandable given that they're the new blood to the franchise. Even if the costuming isn't all that creative for either Maximoff, it would still be nice to see either represented somewhere, anywhere in the AOU figure/collectible plans.

There's no word on pricing or what retailers will carry the figures, but details should be available soon in regards to both.
