Hot Toys Goes Golden Age For 'Captain America 2' Figure

Between Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers movie, Steve Rogers has had his share of costume changes as the Sentinel of Liberty and Hot Toys has seen to it to release every permutation as a 1/6 scale collectible figure. Captain America: The Winter Soldier certainly won't be an exception as the toymaker's shown with an initial teaser image containing no fewer than four Caps, and now fans can get a look at at least one of the prominent suits that'll be seen in the new sequel.

As seen in the film's growing number of trailers and promotional clips, this suit one of at least two that Chris Evans will be wearing as Cap in the film. It's unclear whether or not it'll smell like S.H.I.E.L.D. storage mothballs, but we do at least know that Hot Toys has designed the latest version of the suit from scratch, meaning this isn't just a reissue of the First Avenger version. Likewise the figure's metal shield will feature a new "distressed" paint job.

Unlike Hot Toys' heavily armed upcoming Black Widow 1/6 scale figure, this take on Cap will come packed with his just his indestructible shield and 9 swappable hands. According to HT, this specific "movie promo edition" figure "will be available exclusively during upcoming promotion events period in different countries." Sideshow Collectibles has it, though, for $210, with a September release estimate.
