Finally, after numerous Stormtroopers and Deathtroopers, we have our new Star Wars protagonist getting her own Hot Toys figure. Now obviously it's easy for Hot Toys to churn out some Imperial soldiers given that they use the same basic model from the original trilogy that they're using in the upcoming anthology prequel, and it takes a little bit more time to work out the nuances of an actual human being. The wait was very much worth it though, as the Jyn Erso figure is pretty damn remarkable.

Interestingly, Jyn isn't actually the first Rogue One character on the Rebellion's side to get a toy. That honor falls to Donnie Yen's Chirrut Imwe. It too looks amazing, but Felicity Jones' face is the one selling the movie, and Hot Toys gets it right immediately. When it comes to Hot Toys' likenesses, some that show up to the gate like the Civil War Ant-Man, which neither looks like Paul Rudd or Paul Rudd's stunt double. Fortunately the likeness for Felicity Jones is stunningly accurate, even if it is a bit more grim than we'd have liked.

The standard version of the figure will feature Jyn decked out in her Jedha gear, which we see her in for most of the trailer. Her clothing can be altered to give her a few different looks, and she'll include the E-11 blaster rifle and her own signature blaster pistol, as well as a retractable baton. She's also got those Death Star plans, which are pretty crucial and a nice little treat for fans.

There's also a deluxe version of Jyn which comes with a second set of clothes to let you re-enact the Eadu scenes. This figure comes with all the stuff the basic one does, but also features attachments for Jyn's blaster, which is fully customizable. There's also some quadnoculars, a bandolier and a hat with goggles. It's $30 more for another set of clothes and more accessories, but if you like the idea of having more options for display, that's not an unfair price for additional tiny tailored clothes.

Most importantly however, the Jyn figure promotional images show that K-2SO also appears to have a Hot Toys figure on the way, which isn't surprising, but nice to see anyway. Now about that Orson Krennic and Cassian Andor...

The Star Wars: Rogue One Jyn Erso figure will be available between July and September 2017, and is available for pre-order now for $219.99 from Sideshow Collectibles. The deluxe edition is due at the same time, but is up for pre-order for $249.99.
