Following the sale of The Pirate Bay earlier this week, comic book piracy continues to pillage the news. It seems one of the more prominent members of the comic book scanning community, the Demonoid user known as "Archangel," has hung up his cyber epaulets.

"With three years and over two thousand complete and illegally uploaded scans to his record, that represents tens of millions of dollars of comics read for free without the owner and/or publisher's permission or monetary recompense."

It's a good thing the pirate decided to retire now, with single issue prices evening out at $3.99, "Archangel's" offenses would have likely risen exponentially had they kept up another year.
