New ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Gameplay Footage Demonstrates New Combat [Video]

Since the announcement of NetherRealm’s DC Comics fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, curious comic fans have been privy to the release of a few teaser trailers, a video profile of Catwoman’s combat, some gameplay impressions from us here at CA and a few other promotional materials. Somewhere along the way, however, we totally missed the fact that Solomon Grundy will have a move that sees him pull a tombstone out of his undead abdomen and smash it over the head of his opponents. This, and other gameplay footage, can now been watched over and over again amid GameTrailers‘ interview with I:GAU’s Creative Director Ed Boon. Boon’s got plenty to say about how the new fighter will differ from the less-than-universally-loved 2008 release, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. You can check out the latest Injustice: Gods Among Us gameplay footage after the jump.
