Ahead of Brazil's Comic Con Experience event in Sao Paulo, Iron Studios and the convention have revealed one of the official posters for the event. The poster, by Rafael Albuquerque, features Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen going up against two of the biggest Spider-foes, Venom and Carnage, on the Brooklyn Bridge. Ordinarily this would be a cool print in and of itself, but it's also providing the inspiration for Iron Studios' next statue series.

Dubbed the Spider-Man BDS (Battle Diorama Series), the art in the poster will be turned into four distinct 1/10 scale pieces that combine to form the diorama above. Spider-Man taking on Venom is no big surprise, but adding Carnage and Spider-Gwen into the mix is a bit of an interesting twist. It's a shame we can't see more of what Gwen will look like from the other side, but we do get a good sense of how Venom, Spidey and Carnage will look when turned into physical pieces. It's a fairly dynamic statue, and at 1/10 scale, the whole thing might not take up too much of your display space.

Though it's not explicitly stated, the statues are likely to be based on Albuquerque's art rather than just inspired by his concept. Iron Studios has released similar artist statues in the past before from other Brazilian creators like Ivan Reis. The good news is, Iron Studios does have distribution in the US through Sideshow Collectibles. The bad news is, the statues won't start arriving until 2017.

In the meantime, you can check out a brief process video of Albuquerque crafting the poster below.
