You may have seen that Dark Horse is publishing a new book from Swiss artist J. P. Kalonji called Ningen's Nightmare and that the art for this supernatural samurai tale pops off the paper with the force of a thousand Muramasa blades. Kalonji's beautiful style feels light and simple while capturing a real sense of motion and character. If you liked what you saw and don't happen to have a copy of his other book, 365 Samurai and a Few Bowls of Rice, lying around, the good news is that he has a website stocked with even more art.Kolanji has both a portfolio, which he maintains on KalonjiArt.com, and a blog over on KalonjiArt.blogspot.com. His art specimens range from softer, children's book-ready watercolors to much sharper Becky Cloonan-ish pieces that are much more along the lines of what his American comics work looks like.

Check out his Batman, Captain Kirk and Tetsuo for starters below, and let us know what you think.
