January 14: ‘Fresh Ink! Online’ Pick of the Week [Video]

2011 rolls on in full force on G4’s Fresh Ink! Online this week, with host Blair Butler taking a look at books that are wrapping up and others that are just getting started. But you’ll have to watch the full video to see if she picks Halcyon, the final issue of Thor: The Mighty Avenger, Secret Six, Echoes or the debut of The Infinite Vacation as her pick of the week.

While Blair usually picks one of the more whimsical posts from our backlog, this week the FI! host gave a shout out to CA’s piece, “Heavy Ink Comics Retailer Applauds the Shooting of Gabrielle Giffords,” which focused on the shocking comments made by Heavy Ink President Travis Corcoran regarding this month’s tragic shooting in Tucson, Arizona.

Hit the jump to hear more about Blair’s pick for the Fresh Ink! Online Story of the Week.Additionally, LA Times’ Geoff Boucher gives his Hero Complex pick of the week to Andy Diggle and Victor Ibanez’s Rat Catcher from Vertigo.
