Celebrated comedian and actor Jonathan Winters passed away last week at the age of 87. The extremely popular and versatile performer was perhaps best known for his role in the television series Mork and Mindy and the comedy film classic It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. For the latter, Winters released a comedy album in concert with the movie, with album cover art by legendary MAD and EC cartoonist Jack Davis, who used the opportunity to display some of the many different eccentric characters Winters portrayed throughout his career.

You can see the full cover below.

Davis was an easy selection as the illustrator for the album's cover, as he also created the art for the promotional poster for the film. Throughout a career that has spanned nearly eight decades, Davis also created album cover art for Homer and Jethro and Johnny Cash, among others.

As for Winters, this isn't his only connection to the world of comics: He played Wainwright Barth in The Shadow, the 1994 film adaption of Walter B. Gibson's legendary pulp hero.
