You know, people always talk about how a big part of the appeal with Batman is that he doesn't have superpowers, and is therefore someone that we could all become if we just put the work in. Personally, I don't buy it, but it's still nice to see him doing some stuff that we can relate to in the pages of Bryan Hitch, Neil Edwards, and Daniel Henrique's Justice League #9. You know, stuff like hanging out in his basement and goofing off on his laptop.

And, you know, talking to his manservant, lifting up huge chunks of rock in the cave underneath his mansion, contacting the Justice League and helping them fight against a villain who can control the rings of the two Green Lanterns on the team --- you know what? It's actually not that relatable at all. But it does make for some superheroic action in next week's issue, and you can check out an exclusive preview below!

Ah well. Maybe someday we'll get that series that's just Alfred and Bruce hanging out having slightly sarcastic but still loving conversations with each other, even if it's not today.
