Ronald McDonald and Colonel Sanders Go ‘Final Fantasy,’ Thanks to Kevin Bolk [Art]

Manga eyes and Richie Richie-style redux treatments can be a slightly disarming at times. Take the work of artist Kevin Bolk, for instance. At first glance, you may be scared to let your eyes dance around his Final Fantasy-ready Ronald McDonald or winking Dalek chick, but we can assure that this fan art is all innocent and fun.
And now that we’ve got that out of the way, how about clicking on his much bloodier Pokémon Fight Club homage? That one doesn’t look like it belongs in a 1950s Harvey comic, but it does balance out the onslaught of cuteness that Bolk has posted to his deviantART account.

Bolk’s own webcomics likewise run the gamut from sweet, pudgy-cheeked family-friendly entertainment to adult-themed situational jokes, but it’s good to have a diverse palate. Heaven help us all, though, if the scene transpiring on his “Bats-Man” cover ever comes to pass in a published story.
