Former British footballer Vinnie Jones landed his big acting break in the Matthew Vaughn-produced Guy Ritchie film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels — so it’s hardly surprising that Jones is the latest addition to the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle. If anything, it has us wondering why Jones didn’t pop up in the Kingsman universe a little sooner.

As with other recent casting announcements, this one came courtesy of the actor’s personal Twitter account, where he shared a photo of himself with Julianne Moore on the set of the Kingsman sequel. We still don’t know who he’s playing, but given his acting background and the fact that he’s palling around with Moore, it’s safe to assume he’s not playing a very good guy:

Jones also appeared in Snatch, another film Vaughn produced for his pal Guy Ritchie, as well as X-Men: The Last Stand and episodes of Arrow and Galavant. More recently, he completed filming on Antoine Fuqua’s The Magnificent Seven.

The actor joins a stellar lineup that includes returning stars Taron Egerton, Mark Strong and (surprisingly) Colin Firth. New additions include Narcos star Pedro Pascal as a character named Jack Daniels, Halle Berry as the head of the CIA and Julianne Moore as the villainous Poppy. Jeff Bridges, Channing Tatum and Elton John also star in the sequel, though their roles remain unspecified.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters on June 16, 2017.
