We still don’t have the clearest picture of what DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will look like on a weekly basis, even as Arrow and The Flash have seemingly already begun the crossover to launch it. Now however, we have our first time-displaced villain, and the unsettling gaze of Mr. Robot star Stephanie Corneliussen to back it up.

Per TVLine, Corneliussen (who memorably intimidated the hack out of each and every Mr. Robot viewer, particularly in the finale) will menace multiple episodes of the inaugural Legends of Tomorrow season as DC villain Valentina Vostok. The report describes the character thusly:

A gifted and beautiful Soviet physicist who will stop at nothing to defend her precious “Motherland.” When the Legends encounter her at the height of the Cold War, they suspect her of working with Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) on a secret weapon.

Ray/The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Leonard/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) must vie for Valentina’s affection in an attempt to thaw her cold heart, and find out where her allegiance truly lies -— before she completes her project and potentially turns the tide of the Cold War.

For as much as we’d known Legends would weave through history, it’s of interest to ponder if any of the team’s actions would end up affecting either Arrow Season 4 or The Flash Season 2, both running concurrently with the team-up spinoff in 2016. After all, we wouldn’t expect the fledgling heroes to sanitize their presence every single week, which could grow into some wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey shenanigans before long, especially with icy Soviet physicists in the mix.

So reads the official Legends of Tomorrow description:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

Set for 15 episodes (to start), thus far we know Legends of Tomorrow will include among its cast Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Caity Lotz, time-traveler Rip Hunter (Doctor Who alum Arthur Darvill), and DC big bad Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

Legends of Tomorrow will also debut a special presentation at New York Comic-Con next month, but what do we make of the latest villain?
