Mariann Asanuma’s ‘Mini-Scale’ LEGO Super-Heroes Are Awesome

As ComicsAlliance readers are probably well aware at this point, I could basically look at awesome comics-inspired LEGO creations all day long, but today I saw some in a style I was completely unfamiliar with: Mariann Asanuma’s “Mini-Scale” creations:

According to Asanuma, these are done at 1/20 scale (a step up from the 1/50 scale of regular LEGO minifigures), which is used for the displays in the LEGOLAND parks. And she’d know: She’s a former Master Builder for LEGOLAND California.

From the looks of things, she’s also a super-hero fan. Check out more of her awesome “Super Minilanders” after the jump

Wonder Woman

Wolverine

Iron Man

Green Lantern

Superman

Asanuma’s “Minilanders” have a great sort of Muppet-ness to them, and if you want to see more, check out her Flickr stream!
