Lobster Johnson stories are always fun, whether it's in the present day where he continues his adventures as a ghost, the past as a pulp hero, or in-between as a fictional character within the Mignolaverse. He's someone you can pretty much do anything with. In that vein, ComicsAlliance has an exclusive preview of Mike MignolaJohn Arcudi and Tonci Zonjic's Lobster Johnson: The Pirate's Curse #1, on sale next week from Dark Horse.

Lobster Johnson is up there with Hellboy himself as one of Mike Mignola's greatest creations, and the reason for such a lofty accolade is just how versatile the pulp hero is. He's the sort of character you can put in any kind of story, and the story molds itself around his enigmatic presence, which makes the subtitle of "The Pirate's Ghost" all the more exciting. It's got to the point that all you need is the title --- which sounds like it could be an episode of Scooby Doo, Where Are You? --- and you need to know more.

Luckily, you can know more by checking out the preview of Lobster Johnson: The Pirate's Ghost #1 below:
