The character roster for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds continues to expand as the title's February 15, 2011 release date approaches, but the motives of each combatant have remained unclear up to this point. It's not a huge deal or anything, any excuse for this group of characters to punch each other is a good one, but animated sequences from the game are still a welcome sight. Just such an animated sequence saw the light of day this week in the form of a new trailer that sees Magneto steal a threatening-looking vial from Resident Evil's Wesker after a bout with X-23 and Ghosts 'n Goblins' Sir Arthur, among others. Is Magneto trying to cook up zombies? It's be pretty intense if the master of magnetism were after such a volatile agent for his own purposes (pretty much the opposite of his Marvel Zombies incarnation), but what's even weirder is watching the traditionally heroic Arthur and X-23 seemingly defending the triple agent Wesker. Chris Redfield and the Hulk seem to come to an understanding during the trailer's massive battle, but only after Magneto's secured the hazardous vial. Could all of the game's heroes and villains be under equally disruptive influences? And what does C. Viper have to do with it?
