Legendary indie comics hero Tank Girl is back in Tank Girl: Two Girls One Tank, a three issue series by Tank Girl co-creator Alan Martin, with art by Brett Parson. The first issue comes out in May from Titan Comics, and we have a just-released preview to share!

The art in the preview looks great. Parson's line is reminiscent of the Jamie Hewlett work we all still associate with Tank Girl, without being at a copy of his style.

The story (which the official synopsis leaves untouched) focuses, at least in these pages, on a young women living a very different life from Tank Girl, but who obviously has some connection to her. Her job, which seems very respectable from the way she dresses for it, has somehow acquired Tank Girl's tank, and she's immediately and visibly drawn to it. We even see her unable to sleep and staring at magazine photos of Tank Girl.

Whether she's someone from Tank Girl's past who's life has moved on is unclear, but there's little doubt she's the second "Girl" to whom the title refers. I give her until the end of the first issue before she's driving that tank around.
