Marvel's MAX line, the publisher's mature imprint, is making its digital debut. Previously absent from Comixology, it was announced today that the Marvel MAX titles will finally be made available exclusively on the digital comics platform."The MAX line is well known for having great content by some of the most regarded creators in the business," said ComiXology co-founder and CEO David Steinberger in a statement released earlier today. "Comic fans around the world have long requested the inclusion of the MAX imprint as part of ComiXology's immense catalog and now we have it!"

"The MAX imprint offers our mature, adult readers a chance to experience some of the most violent and explicit comics they've ever seen," said Ruwan Jayatilleke, Associate Publisher/SVP, Marvel Entertainment. "Some of the the top creators in the industry-such as Garth Ennis, Jason Aaron, David Lapham and more-have brought their unique visions to popular characters like Punisher and Wolverine as part of MAX."

All of the MAX titles will presumably be rolled out on ComiXology over the coming months. As for right now, MAX titles available digitally include issues 1-11 of Jason Aaron and Steve Dillon's PunisherMax, Aaron's PunisherMax X-Mas Special, Jason Starr and Connor Willumsen's Wolverine Max #1-2, and Fury Max #1-8 from Garth Ennis and Goran Parlov, a series ComicsAlliance highlighted as one of the best of 2012 in our year-end roundup.
