Yesterday, we brought you a look at adorable versions of Aquaman and Shazam fighting evil and spouting off silly superhero lines in DC/WayForward's upcoming "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" side-scroller for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Not to be outdone, Marvel/THQ are combating cute with cute with a sequel to their 2009 "Marvel Super Hero Squad" video game, titled "Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet."

Following the second season of the hit Cartoon Network series, "The Infinity Gauntlet" finds Spidey and the crew squaring off against Dr. Doom's Lethal Legion in the hopes they'll find the locations of the six missing Infinity Gems before they fall into the wrong hands. The game gives lil' gamers out there the chance to "Hero Up" with their buddies in co-op, offers three different gameplay modes (Story, Freeplay and Challenge), and also boasts a brand new puzzle component, where players will need to use their hero's unique super-powers to move or destroy obstacles, travel through varied environments, or summon special moves to take down the worst (yet kid-friendly) villains Super Hero City has to offer.Unfortunately, no release date for "The Infinity Gauntlet" has been set, but the game will be available for all major consoles as well as the Nintendo DS/DSi.
