It may have taken nearly three decades, but Disney's original "Tron" film is finally getting a comic book adaptation to call its own. Sure, it may have been preceded by SLG's sequels and Marvel's "Tron: Legacy" prequel "Tron: The Betrayal," but given the advancements in modern comics coloring and printing, the technological world's wait for a proper translation into sequential art has probably been worth the wait for fans.

Written by Peter David with interior art by Mirco Pierfederici ("Dark Wolverine") and covers by Olivier Coipel and Salvador Larroca, "Tron: Movie Adaptation" #1 is set to arrive in stores on November 3. Marvel's official solicitation doesn't detail just how many issues will be in the miniseries or tease at any potential new story content, focusing mainly on the book's creative team and the series' ties to the upcoming "Tron: Legacy."

With the adaptation of the original movie and comic book prequel to "Legacy," it'll be interesting to watch Marvel's December solicitations to see if word on a "Legacy" comic crops up closer to the film's December 17 release date. Perhaps in 3-D to match the film?
