Parting Shot: Dad Serving in Afghanistan Dresses as Captain America to Surprise Son

There are a lot of touching videos on the Welcome Home Blog of soldiers returning from duty unannounced to surprise their family members, but until now, all too few of them have involved superhero cosplay. One father back from Afghanistan hoped to surprise his son, Cole, for his birthday, but with an added twist: He arrived at the house of the young superhero fan while pretending to be Captain America. The act proved surprisingly effective until it was time for breakfast, when Cole marched (adorably) into the kitchen after the patriotic Marvel superhero only to see him finally reveal his secret identity: dad. Shock and aww ensued.
