Marvel's Monster's Unleashed still has the tie-ins we've come to expect from event comics, but rather than taking up space and derailing the ongoing creative team's story, Marvel is publishing one-shots, giving other creators a chance to pit Marvel heroes against classic Marvel monsters. Today, the publisher announced four more one-shots as part of the event, as the war against the monsters goes global.

Rising star Jeremy Whitely is bolstering his Marvel resume with two one-shots in February, the first of which sees Marvel's newest superteam go up against giant monsters in Champions #1.MU, with art by Ro Stein and Ted Brandt. Whitely will also tackle another team of super-powered teens alongside Carlo Barberi as, in All-New X-Men #1.MU, the kids travel to New Orleans and find something scary lurking in the bayou.

Speaking of team books, Paul Allor and Brian Level take the Inhumans to Rome in Uncanny Inhumans #1.MU, as two of the monsters head for one of the most historic cities in the world with bad intentions. Then, in the one-shot I'm most looking forward to, Chip Zdarsky and Julian Lopez tackle the man of the moment in Doctor Strange #1.MU, as the good Doctor seems to be going mano a mano with one of the greatest Marvel monsters of all, Googam, Son of Goom.

All the one-shots are billed as extra-sized at forty pages, and will be released alongside regular issues of the ongoing titles this February. You can check out details of the first wave of planned one-shots here.
