The teaser poster, like the teaser trailer, is a funny thing. Some teasers subtly reveal exciting hints at plot, character designs or even storyline, while others do approximately nothing but sputter a name the way an interrogated criminal might under the white-hot lights of police custody. In the case of the latest "Iron Man 2" poster, it's even more ambivalent.

There's not a whole lot to see, just an appropriately metallic title logo a release date. And all snark aside, that's okay.

Between numerous set photos and a few pieces of art, it's safe to assume Tony Stark's Iron Man armor will retain its signature color-scheme and that most of the cast will sport similar hairstyles (Robert Downey Jr. still has a goatee!). Really, most fans are just curious about the film's plot, which is slated to include Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, Don Cheadle as War Machine and Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow.

Either way, given the film's 2010 release date, fans should still have plenty of more informative announcements to look forward to in the months ahead.
