This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles has been filled with exciting looks at anticipated projects like "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions," the "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" video game, "DC Universe Online" and "Marvel versus Capcom 3." But despite all of these truly awesome games coming our way, it's the E3-debuting trailer for Telltale Games' "Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent" that has me most excited.

A collaboration between Telltale and "The Book of Grickle" creator Graham Annable, "Puzzle Agent" focuses on Nelson Tethers, the government's sole puzzle agent who finds himself in the town of Scoggins, Minnesota to investigate why the Scoggins Eraser Company has ceased the production of its product. What he finds is an increasingly confounding situation filled with mazes, logic puzzles, riddles and gnomes. Yes, gnomes.

I'm a sucker for puzzle games like this one, but it's the Coen Brothers vibe that really gets me going here. "Puzzle Agent" looks like the most delightfully creepy game of the year, for my money. It'll be available for purchase later this month on PC, Mac, the Wii and the iPhone and iPad.
