Seems like there's a lot of Super-people in the DC Universe these days. And I don't just mean superheroes. I meant specifically the ones who call themselves "Super." In addition to Superwoman, Supergirl, her dad Cyborg Superman, and Superboy, there are at least two or three Supermen, counting Kong Kenan, the New Super-Man of China. I feel like this must really get under Lex Luthor's skin, even if he's also been using the Superman name.

But Luthor's never met a Superman (or anyone else) that he didn't try to manipulate. So it's not really a surprise when he shows up at the headquarters of the Chinese Justice League in New Super-Man #9, to take Kong on a trip to Metropolis. After forming his own identity in relative isolation from the American Superman family, it's going to be interesting to see Kong dropped right in the middle of it.

New Super-Man #9 is written by Gene Luen Yang, with interior art and a cover by Viktor Bogdanovic. It also features a variant cover by Bernard Chang. Check it out this Wednesday, March 8.
