While it didn't seem like anybody was super into this week's fake-then-just-kidding-it's-real-but-hi-res group shot depicting a swatch of costumed mutants from Matthew Vaughn's upcoming X-Men: First Class, a few new photos from HeroComplex plus a new poster image seem to have dulled fandom's initial shock. Sure, nobody's dressed in a combat uniform, but perhaps it's better to get a look at the cast in their swingin' '60s civillian attire before delving too far into the costume scene, ya dig?Hero Complex's new images from the June 3 film show Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and James McAvoy (Charles Xavier) hanging with their assembled posse, then playing some chess, as is their mutant leader custom.

Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw) and

January Jones (Emma Frost) also get what passes for cosy on what could be a Hellfire Club couch... or maybe just a regular couch.

Then there's the poster, which doesn't feature any cast members or hint at the film's '60s plot, but does look metallic. Magneto loves that kind of thing!
