Marvel Comics, the publisher that brought the world Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, The Fantastic Four and thousands of other characters, turns 70 today, but August 11 is a fateful day for others as well, including those with very special ties to the publisher:

Prolific comic book artist (who rose to fame at Marvel), Image and Wildstorm founder Jim Lee turns 45 today.

Professional wrestling champion, reality TV star and mustache advocate Hulk "Yeah I took my name from Marvel's Hulk" Hogan turns 56.

Also, George Kirk of J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" and the upcoming star of "Thor" and "The Avengers," Chris Hemsworth turns 26.

All around, a pretty "Marvelous" day for fans, no?
