Parting Shot: Charting the Evolution of the Bat Logo

Few symbols in comics, or in any other medium, are as enduring as Batman’s logo. Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of the Dark Knight’s symbol is that, despite going through dozens of changes over the years, it remains eminently recognizable. This fact was not lost on Cathryn Lavery, as the artist has highlighted many iterations of the famous symbol in a limited edition poster that features 30 different versions of the Bat logo – from print, film, and animation – spanning 72 years.

The poster is limited to 500 copies, and each is signed and numbered. Lavery has made them available to purchase now in three different sizes: 13″ x 19″, 16″ x 24″ and 24″ x 36″.
