Casting Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa in the Power Rangers movie reboot is definitely one of the more interesting choices in recent memory, and if nothing else, it’ll be fun watching the actress chew some scenery as the famously outrageous villain. While we wait to see her in action, Lionsgate has debuted another new photo of Banks as Rita Repulsa, and she looks like she’s trapped in a glass case of emotion.

Well, she’s definitely trapped in something in the new photo below, though it’s hard to tell what it is exactly. Maybe she’s like one of the mosquitoes in Jurassic Park. Maybe she’s emerging from a crystallized cocoon. Maybe this is from a climactic scene in the third act. Who knows:

Here’s the official synopsis for the new Power Rangers movie, which sounds pretty similar to the classic TV series:

Saban's "Power Rangers" follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Power Rangers was directed by Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) and also stars Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger and Bryan Cranston as Zordon, their mentor.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
