No, That’s Not Gal Gadot, That’s Just a Creepily Accurate Wonder Woman Statue

Since arriving on the scene, Prime 1 Studio has been delivering the goods. The company's high-end statues have been impeccable, though pricey, creations that have not only captured their subjects with incredible detail, but with personality as well. It's hard to find any flaws in Prime 1's catalog already, but this new Wonder Woman 1:2 scale statue might have set a new bar for what to expect from the company.

First of all, this thing comes in at a healthy 40" tall, which even when you subtract the 3.8" base, leaves you with a 36.2" tall Gal Gadot Wonder Woman staring you down with sword in hand. Ordinarily, that might not be such a big deal. We've seen a number of Wonder Woman statues already. This one however has the size and sculpt to give anyone glancing a moment of pause thanks to the translucent resin giving the skin a more lifelike appearance. That and the rooted hair combine with that stellar likeness to make you wonder if this statue could come alive at any moment.

The mixed-media portions only add to the realism, as seeing things like actual leather, rope and fabric elements of her costume as they actually are instead of as sculpted pieces tricks your eye in even more ways. Truthfully though, it all comes down to that portrait, which is probably the best Gal Gadot head we've seen from a Batman V Superman collectible to date. That's no small task as there have been a lot, and a few of the higher-end collectibles have had some rather close likenesses. Prime 1 has outdone itself here though. As a total package, there are few Wonder Woman pieces that are likely to elicit such a strong and immediate reaction with regards to believability.
