They’ve just wrapped up a massive Global Unboxing Event for #ForceFriday, the grand unveiling of the new toys for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And looking through the acton figures that were revealed, there are some really impressive likenesses. The little Finn, for example, really looks like John Boyega. On the other hand, there are a few that aren’t so impressive. The action figure version of Rey could be Daisy Ridley. But if you put it in front of me with no context (and no awesome BB-8 accessory), I probably couldn’t tell you who it’s supposed to be. I might guess it’s a Natalie Portman figure from Revenge of the Sith.

That got us thinking about movie action figures of the past, particularly the ones that struggled to capture the facial features of their iconic stars. Sculpting technology has gotten incredibly advanced; now you can sit in a chair for two minutes while a machine scans your face and wind up with a Captain America figure that looks like you. Ten or twenty years ago, nothing like that existed, a fact reflected in the sometimes comically inaccurate head sculpts that accompanied the action figures of famous movie characters.

Rather than simply rank some of the worst and weirdest, we thought we’d give you a little quiz to test your knowledge of obscure action figure lines (and terrible action figure likenesses). Above you’ll find 20 action figures; it’s up to you to figure out who the actor is based on the figure. Click right in the gallery to find the answer and proceed to the next figure. They start pretty easy, but they get tricky. Good luck and may the Force (Friday) be with you.
