A major story component of The Dark Knight Rises was revealed Friday when The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the casting of Josh Pence as a young Ra's al Ghul. Pence will portray the Demon's Head in flashback scenes, which confirm not only the presence of the character but also fuels rumors that the deceased villain, who was played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins, may yet return from the grave like his comic book counterpart.Playing Ra's al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises will certainly qualify as Josh Pence's big break. The 29-year-old actor's body appeared as Tyler Winklevoss in last year's The Social Network, but with his face digitally replaced with that of Armie Hammer. At the moment, the actor's resume is filled mainly with small roles in television series, although that is sure to change thanks to this development. Perhaps we are meeting newest member of Nolan's growing company of actors, which also includes The Dark Knight Rises co-stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard, the latter of whom is rumored to play Talia al Ghul.
