Rupert Grint, almost certainly best-known from his supporting role in the Harry Potter movies as the oft-bewildered Ron Weasley, has just been cast in Super Clyde, an upcoming superhero comedy pilot from show runner Greg Garcia (My Name is Earl) ordered by CBS.The show will reportedly center around Grint's character Clyde, a well-meaning, but neurotic comic book fan who works in a fast-food restaurant until he scores a $100,000-a-month inheritance from his deceased uncle, and decides to use the money to fund superheroic pursuits.

Described as a "single-camera comedy," the show will be written and produced by Greg Garcia, while the pilot will be directed by Mike Fresco (My Name is Earl). Although CBS has ordered the pilot, as fans of the doomed Locke and Key TV show know, that never guarantees that the show will be made.
