Breaking news on the DC Comics front - according to Production Weekly, Sam Rockwell and Justin Long are headed to the big screen as Batman and Robin alongside Josh Hamilton as Superman, Leslie Bibb as Wonder Woman and John Hodgman as The Penguin.

But this isn't for a third "Batman" film from Christopher Nolan, nor is it some bizarre Warner Bros.-sanctioned "Justice League" movie. Instead, these heroes are assembling for something far greater - or, at least, something far funnier - in the form of James Duffy's "Robin's Big Speed Date," a comedy short to be included in a currently untitled sketch anthology co-directed by Peter Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk and Griffin Dunne.Unfortunately, not much else is known about "Robin's Big Speed Date" at this time, but the assembled cast list should give you a pretty good idea of how this is going to play out. But you can get an even better feel for the upcoming comedy thanks to an already existing short featuring Rockwell and Long as the dynamic duo, titled "Robin's Big Date."
