Enough of this cameo stuff. It looks like Nick Fury will be headlining his own film soon enough.

Last year, Samuel L. Jackson told Marvel he wasn't just going to do a cameo here and a cameo there at their whim. So he signed a deal promising he would appear as Nick Jacob Fury (agent and sometimes Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.) in as many as nine films. He's just shown up in "Iron Man 2" and is sure to appear in "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Avengers."

Then recently, at an appearance at Radio Big Boy, Samuel L. Jackson, the man who has defeated snake-infested planes and has quoted the Bible while blowing people away, commented, "'The Avengers' should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there'll be a big 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' movie."That's right, folks. At last, David Hasslehoff's Fox TV-movie will not be the only time Nick Fury has had his own live-action film. Though we won't be seeing this flick until 2012 at the earliest, people are already speculating what it could entail. Will be perhaps see his own life story as he rises as a soldier in World War II and then, thanks to the experimental Infinity Formula, finds himself staying young and vital while others get old and fade away? Will we see Hydra and the evil Baron Von Strucker? Will we see hot romance with the Countess?

More importantly, will we finally see the helicarrier in all it's bad-ass glory? 2012 will tell.
