‘Scott Pilgrim’ Creator Bryan Lee O’Malley Announces Next Graphic Novel, ‘Seconds’

A few weeks back, Scott Pilgrim and Lost at Sea creator Bryan Lee O’Malley teased the title of a new project titled Seconds via a Twitter picture, leading to speculation that this might be the name of his next work. Well, consider that speculation confirmation: Publishers Weekly Comics Week announced today that Seconds will be the newest graphic novel by O’Malley, and will be released by book publisher Villard Books in 2013.

The announcement comes as the comics industry begins its migration to the Comic-Con International convention in San Diego, the annual massive comics and pop culture event that was dominated last year by promotion for the film adaptation of O’Malley’s New York Times best-selling Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series. Little else is known about the project, which will be the first book-length work from O’Malley since completing Scott Pilgrim.
