Shaun Simon and Michael Allred's Art Ops is one of the titles leading the new wave of Vertigo books redefining and re-establishing DC's mature readers imprint for a new generation, and next week, Art Ops #11 sees guest artist Rob Davis step in for a story ominously titled "The Boy Who Painted Death." We've got an exclusive preview of the first few pages.

Art Ops stars Reggie Riot as the leader of a team of Art Operatives --- once led by his mother --- who deal with the strangest and most bizarre crimes and mysteries revolving around art in all its forms, from classic works of art coming to life, to a mysterious poly-blend garment. The team knows art when they see it, and it's usually trying to kill them.

In next week's issue, Reggie and the rest of the Art Ops team have to deal with a painting of Death so accurate that it has taken on the very properties of the Grim Reaper himself. Check out the preview of Art Ops #11 below:
