Starro, The Everliving

The new DC blog, The Source, posted a cover from the upcoming 'R.E.B.E.L.S' #6 featuring a revamped and particularly muscle-bound version of the DC villain Starro. The new Starro isn't just a far cry from the giant starfish he used to be, he also bears a bit of a resemblance to Mumm-Ra, the villain from the 80's Thundercats cartoon, as several of the commenters mention. 'R.E.B.E.L.S.' writer Tony Bedard talked a little with CBR about Starro's new role as a 'cosmic Genghis Khan,' but demurred on the details he says will be revealed an the October Starro one-shot.

Speaking of 'Thundercats,' if you've never heard the blooper reel where the voice actors for Lion-O and Snarf start dropping F-Bombs on each other -- or the Youtube mashup with cartoon footage -- it's a must. (NSFW)
