After a season’s worth of Supergirl awkwardly cutting around any actual Superman appearances on the small screen, Kal-El will finally come forth in this coming Monday’s Alan Moore-inspired “For the Girl Who Has Everything.” Well, we’ll meet him as a child. On Krypton. In a dream. Anyway, here’s some photos!

CBS released its first photos of Daniel DiMaggio in the role of a young Kal-El, as envisioned by Kara under the influence of a “Black Mercy” plant that grabbed her at home in the closing moments of Monday’s “Bizarro.” Initial casting reports for a young Kal-El caused some confusion, given that the future Superman was still a baby at the time of his and Kara’s evacuation of Krypton, and an adult by her arrival on Earth.

So reads the official synopsis of “For the Girl Who Has Everything”:

A PARASITIC ALIEN TRAPS KARA IN A DREAM WORLD WHERE HER HOME PLANET WAS NEVER DESTROYED, ON “SUPERGIRL,” MONDAY, FEB. 8

Kara’s friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission.

While we may never see the Man of Steel proper, Supergirl still has its Justice League ties by the presence of Martian Manhunter on the cast, not to mention the official upcoming Flash crossover.

In the meantime, check out the latest teasers below, and prepare to meet Super … Kal. Or probably just Kal. Also, the hallucination thing.
