Superhero Fan Film “Archives of the Fantastic” to Benefit Homeless

Next Saturday, while much of the comic book world is packed like sardines into a San Diego convention center, the Bagdad Theater in Portland, Oregon will be screening the 50-minute short superhero fan film, “ARCHIVES OF THE FANTASTIC: The Ninth Cosmic Convergence.”

The film was created by the Alter Ego Society a local group that organizes superhero-costumed pub crawls, and differs from most fan films not only because it’s being screened in a real theater, but also because it benefits p:ear, a charity that works with homeless and at-risk youth.

Check out the trailer for “ARCHIVES OF THE FANTASTIC” after the jump, and if you’d like to support either superhero drinking societies or homeless kids you can either drop by if you’re local, or pick up the DVD later when it goes on sale.
