Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wasted little time introducing us to a fully-formed Ghost Rider, further evolving effects we’d seen through two prior movies. Now, Season 4 goes behind the scenes to show us the mo-cap creation of Gabriel Luna’s fiery Spirit of Vengeance, LED hood and all.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has made steadily smaller connection with the Marvel films, from sending in helicarriers to quick Sokovia meetings, and Doctor Strange will continue the trend. S.H.I.E.L.D. producers explain that while Coulson’s team won’t be palling around the Sanctum Sanctorum anytime soon, Season 4 will explore “some of those same ideas” as the magical Doctor Strange.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for Season 4 as soon as next week, kicking off both the hunt for a wayward Daisy Johnson, and the introduction of an all-new Ghost Rider. The first clip from Season 4 cools its treads on the Spirit of Vengeance (for now), but still shakes things up with a dangerous pursuit of “Quake.”

Marvel TV brought a heavy bag of goodies to Comic-Con 2016, including first looks at Netflix’s Iron Fist and FX X-Men series Legion, but will New York do one better? Well, if we were hoping the addition of Ghost Rider and a 10:00 P.M. time slot would take Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a little darker, the first Season 4 footage will really light your fire. Ghost Rider is out for vengeance in the first footage, even attaching himself as a subtitle for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4.
