New York Comic Con is right around the corner, and if you're planning on heading to Manhattan's Javits Center next weekend, the good people at Boom! Studios want to give you as many chances to part with your money at Booth 1344 as they possibly can. To that end, they're offering up a slate of pretty amazing looking variant covers, including a beautifully painted wrap-around cover for the Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake hardcover and an NYC-specific image where Jake Lawrence's Teen Dog takes a ride on a cosmic subway. My personal favorite, though, is the first issue of Sleepy Hollow, the tie-in to the amazingly bonkers Fox television show, which features Abbie and Ichabod charging through the forest with a hot pink lantern, as drawn by Lumberjanes co-creator Noelle Stevenson. It is basically amazing.

As much as I might identify with Mordecai and Rigby, the two slackers at the center of Cartoon Network's Regular Show, the last few seasons have seen Eileen become my favorite character on the show. Now, my demand for more Eileen-centric media is finally being addressed by the comics in the form of this week's Regular Show #13. Written by Minty Lewis, a storyboard artist for Regular Show and the voice of Eileen, with art by Allison Strejlau, the story finds Eileen heading off for a solo adventure full of palindromes and calm breathing.

As the band Solid Bold so indelibly noted in their song "Summertime Loving, Loving In The Summer (Time)," "It's Summertime and you know what that means / Gonna head down to the beach, gonna do some beachy things." One of those beachy things could be plopping down on the sand and reading a graphic novel about Regular Show...uh, regulars Mordecai and Rigby trying to figure out how and why a mysterious pool appeared in their park in the midst of a blistering heat wave. That's the premise of the new Boom! Studios graphic novel by Ed, Edd and Eddy writer Rachel Connor and artist Tessa Stone (Bravest Warriors). The beautiful cover above is by Allison Strejlau, artist on the monthly Regular Show series.

I think it's safe to say that all of us here at ComicsAlliance are pretty excited about Boom Studios' Regular Show comic, slated to launch next month with the creative team of K.C. Green and Allison Strejlau. The only problem is that, well, we don't really want to wait until April to actually get our hands on it...

Fans are still a few weeks away from experiencing the debut issue of K.C. Green (Gunshow) and Allison Strejlau's new Regular Show ongoing comic from Boom! Studios, but the publisher is proving it's got plenty of Mordecai and Rigby action in the works with the reveal of June's alternate covers...

Allison Strejlau is an artist whose work is hard to classify simply because she's so adept at a range of styles. When she's drawing fanart, she seems equally comfortable in cartoony Legend of Korra and dramatic Darjeeling Limited watercolors, in grim battles with Batman and psychedelic Pokémon duels. But h...
