‘Ant-Man’ Concept Art Reveals a Great New Look at The Wasp
Marvel’s Ant-Man did a solid job of establishing its title character as a significant player in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it also laid the groundwork for another story of equal interest. In flashbacks to Hank Pym’s world-saving days, we meet his wife, Janet, aka The Wasp, a superhero who one-ups her partner’s shrinking abilities with some pretty badass wings. Unfortunately, we only catch a few brief glimpses of this iconic Marvel heroine in the midst of a very hectic action scene. Fortunately, some newly revealed concept art now allows us to pick apart the details of her costume like real nerds.

Earlier this week, Batman vs. Superman star Jesse Eisenberg said that their superhero movie would be “very serious” while alluding to Marvel and dropping a passive-aggressive dig on other “cartoonish” superhero movies. Today, Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder echoed that sentiment, but didn’t beat around the bush, mentioning Ant-Man by name and calling Marvel’s movie just a “flavor of the week”.

So why is Marvel releasing a clip from Ant-Man a month after its release? With the film preparing to hit theaters in China, the studio has put a new clip from the film online — chances are you’ve probably already seen it. In one of the highlights of the film, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang suits up as Ant-Man and takes on Anthony Mackie’s Falcon. And now you can watch it all over again.

You know how much we love cosplay at ComicsAlliance; we put a spotlight on it every week. Fans who create their own costumes and dress up as their favorite heroes are some of the most passionate and enthusiastic people in comics, and the level of talent and committment on display at conventions seems to get more impressive every year. If there isn't a Carol Corps cosplay meet-up or a whole dang Spider-Verse at a show, you'll probably go home disappointed. So it's great to see Marvel paying tribute to these fans with a selection of cosplay variant covers on several of its All-New All-Different launches this fall. The Marvel Cosplay variants place fans of Spider-Gwen, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Thor (both versions) and more on the covers of the books they love. Cosplay connoisseurs will see some familiar faces among the cosplayers, including Birds of Play's Amanda Lynne Shafer, cosplay legend Yaya Han, and Marvel's own in-house cosplay blogger Judy Stephens as Captain Marvel.

If you’ve somehow avoided seeing Ant-Man just yet, then be warned that this post is filled with spoilers, obviously. With all the dudes fighting in their mechanized superhero (and villain) costumes in the film, there was one character who didn’t make it into a super-suit: Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne. But according to Lilly, it may not be too much longer before she suits up for Marvel.

Typically when an actor signs on to star in a Marvel film, they’re also signing on to appear in several more films — these can be sequels, or cameos and supporting roles in other MCU films. Somehow Michael Douglas didn’t have to make that deal, as the actor reveals that he hasn’t signed on for any Ant-Man sequels, though he would very much like to return to the MCU if and when possible.

There has been a lot of talk about the two Ant-Man post-credits scenes, specifically the one that sets up Captain America: Civil War. We talked about that one yesterday, as Sebastian Stan sought to explain a little bit about what was going on. Today, we’re going to talk about that other post-credits scene as Marvel has officially released a photo teasing a major new superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ant-Man spoilers ahead!

Hot Toys Reveals New Ant-Man, We Squint to See the Appeal
The hustle and bustle of con season may be well under way here in the States, but the Asian convention circuit is only just beginning. Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong 2015 kicks off this week, and Hot Toys will be there in full force showing off new items that were just not quite ready enough for San Diego Comic-Con. Though the company's been busy this week already with major announcements of new figures, there are plenty more on the way, including those that might fly under the radar. Case in point, the just-announced Ant-Man and Flying Ant miniature collectible that will be on display for the first time at ACCHK. As part of what I'm presuming was a stipulation in all of Marvel's licensing contracts that any Ant-Man merchandise deals must include at least five mini-figures (seriously, enough already), Hot Toys has prepped a figure not unlike those you've seen from Hasbro and Funko already. The main difference being that this 4" collectible bears the Hot Toys brand name, and will come at a premium as a result.

‘Ant-Man’ Director Reveals Alternate Ending
It’s not surprising that Ant-Man originally had a different ending, given how much footage is shot for each Marvel film, with the studio often mandating longer production schedules to ensure they have room to change things if needed. As detailed by director Peyton Reed, the Ant-Man alternate ending wasn’t that much different from the one we ended up getting, but it did tie up one particular loose end.

Ranking Every Superhero Movie Post-Credits Scene
As Ant-Man opens in theaters, we’re once again reminded to keep our big superhero-loving butts in our seats throughout the duration of any comic-book movie’s closing credits. (For Ant-Man specifically, you’re going to want to stay all the way to the very end, for an extra post-credits scene.) It’s become a superhero movie staple to have a scene tacked on to the end of the film that either teases an upcoming sequel or spinoff, pays off an unresolved storyline, or just sprinkles on one last dash of humor. We’ve gone through all the superhero post-credits scenes that have ever made their way to the big screen to rank them.
