Arrow fans have come to grips with the idea that certain DC heavy-hitters will likely never make the leap to The CW’s DC shows, but that divide became exceptionally confusing with the shuffling off of Suicide Squad characters in preparation for this summer’s film. Now, not only is a prominent Squad-mate headed back to Arrow, but producers explain how they might be able to feature the characters going forward.

Arrow picked one hell of a week for its 100th episode, landing smack-dab in the middle of The CW’s four-way superhero crossover with Supergirl, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Still, we’ve time yet before the heroes come together, for which producer Marc Guggenheim reveals not only what brings Supergirl to Star City, but also what other familiar faces will pop up for Arrow’s centennial.

It’s time for another installment of Pointed Commentary, where returning Arrow watcher Chris Haley and newcomer Emma Lawson dig into the details of Team Arrow as they clean up the filthy, crime-ridden streets of Star City. This week’s episode, “The Recruits,” finds Green Arrow spread thin between his crusade to fight crime in a costume and his daily duties as the new mayor of Star City. But will his new team of vigilante hopefuls ever be able to work together? James Bamford directed the episode from a script by Speed Weed and Beth Schwartz.

Now that all four of The CW’s DC series have begun their fall seasons, fans of Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow are naturally looking for setup of the big four-way crossover in the coming months. We know DC’s alien Dominators will serve as the big bad, for which producer Marc Guggenheim teases their intent for the various Earths.

If Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow weren’t enough to get your DC on, in comes one more DC premiere. Fresh off CW Seed, the animated Vixen is back for Season 2, with the premiere installment available to stream right now.

We’ll only have three or so episodes to spend together when Arrow, Flash and Legends of Tomorrow crossover with Supergirl, and we’d be happy to spend all three with the disparate personalities paling around. It may take some time to get there, however, as producers say not everyone from the Arrow-verse will be so excited to meet the Girl of Steel.

Supergirl and The Flash got to have their crossover cake and eat it with Barry speeding over from The CW universe to CBS, even before Season 2 moved to the former. Many thought perhaps Kara’s Supergirl universe might end up folded into the “Arrow-verse” to facilitate easier crossovers, but producers now confirm the Girl of Steel will keep her separate Earth.

The CW’s DC roster has two premieres left between Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, but you know fans are chomping at the bit to see all those crazy kids together.
