‘The Legend of Korra’ Returns! Konietzko and DiMartino Announce Graphic Novel Series


At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, many thought that The Legend of Korra panel would be a farewell to the characters of the much-loved series, as creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino came together to talk to fans about this year's finale. However, much to the surprise of pretty much everybody, the pair instead announced plans to pick up the story right from where the last episode ended with a series of graphic novels from Dark Horse.

‘Avatar’ And ‘Korra’ Co-Creator Bryan Konietzko Announces ‘Threadworlds’ From First Second


If your life has felt a little empty ever since Avatar: The Legend of Korra came to an end in December, then we have some good news for you: First Second has announced that Korra and Avatar co-creator Bryan Konietzko will write and draw a series of graphic novels called Threadworlds, set to kick off in 2017.

Currently set for five volumes, the series is centered on Nova, a young scientist from a primitive planet that shares its orbit with four other worlds, and features a series of discoveries that tie the planets' fates together and sends Nova on a journey into space.

Thank God There Was Korra: Actors Janet Varney & David Faustino Talk ‘Legend Of Korra’ [Interview]


After weeks of limp ratings, the Nickelodeon animated series The Legend of Korra has been passed off to the website, leaving many to wonder what the future holds for the series. Confusion is never far from the discussion, whether it's from spurned fans or crowing critics. The fans haven't so much hit a rough patch as been dragged through a ravine. Now it holds its breath, unwilling to be hurt again.

Which is all really unfortunate, because season three of Korra is easily the best yet. Voice actor Janet Varney’s Korra continues to be one of TV finest heroines, full of grit, passion, and unbridled talent, while David Faustino’s Mako has mellowed from a high-strung athlete to… well, a high-strung cop, but one who wears his heart on his sleeve. The Avatar’s Family Dynamic Is Explored In ‘Legend Of Korra: Book 2′ Bonus Feature [Video]


If you're a fan of Avatar: The Legend of Korra, then you're probably having a pretty good week. Not only did Book 3 start up this weekend with the promise of Korra re-founding the Air Nation and going up against a team of super-powered crooks bent on destruction -- including an Water Bender who uses tendrils of water and ice in place of her missing arms, which is awesome -- but today marks the release of Book 2 on home video, for anyone who needs to catch up.

‘The Legend Of Korra’ Creators Reveal Title For Book 3, Hint At Plans

Though it won't air on television until this Friday, Nickelodeon posted the finale to The Legend Of Korra Book 2: "Spirits" online over the weekend, which means that it's already been widely discussed on the internet. It also means that series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are likely a bit more comfortable publicly discussing some aspects of the season's conclusion, as well as the title for the upcoming Book 3, which was revealed today.
