Chris Pratt Makes Good on Super Bowl Bet, Visits Kids as Star-Lord
Marvel stars Chris Pratt and Chris Evans—Seahawks and Patriots fans, respectively—made a bet on Twitter on which of their teams would win the Super Bowl. At stake? The loser would have to visit a local charity dressed as their superhero. The Patriots beat the Seahawks in dramatic fashion, so Pratt, in full Star-Lord costume, lived up to his end of the bargain and visited Christopher's Haven, a home for kids and their families battling cancer in Boston.

Chris Evans and Chris Pratt have made a bet on the outcome of this weekend's Super Bowl that will see one of them show up at the other's choice of children's hospital or hospice in their Marvel superhero costume brandishing their rival's team colors. Either Captain America will carry the flag of Pratt's Seattle Seahawks, or Star-Lord will don the jersey of Evans's New England Patriots. We couldn't let this titanic tussle between two of Marvel's super-Chrisses pass by without a contest of our own, so we're pitting the worlds of Star-Lord and Captain America head-to-head in a series of polls that we call... the Superpoll. The other polls have now closed, so it all comes down to this final face-off, and one big question. Who is the better Chris? Which one would you watch the Super Bowl with? Is it goofy dinosaur-chasing space-faring man-child Chris Pratt, whose infectious sense of humor is now matched by an unexpected sidestep into hunkdom? Or is it Dorito-shouldered marble-skinned adonis Chris Evans, who transcended fratboy roles to become an irresistible all-American boy-next-door? Pratt. Or Evans. Only you (collectively) can decide.

Round three saw Avengers take on Guardians, and it looked like it might go either way, but at the time of this writing the Guardians could dominate two of the five contests thanks to Groot and Rocket Raccoon, while the Avengers are pulling ahead in three thanks to Black Widow, Hulk, and Hawkeye -- who has astonishingly pulled off an upset against a troll doll. But everything could still change, as today we explore the cinematic worlds and nerdy careers of Chris Pratt and Chris Evans. Welcome to the Superpoll: Round III.

Round one is shaping up to be a 2-to-1 victory for Evans, with Cap and the Avengers trouncing Star-Lord and the Guardians, but Star-Lord's jam -- Hooked On A Feeling -- is easily besting Cap's jam, the Star-Spangled Banner. Today we look at the parallel forces in our two heroes' lives; the villains they face, the lost eras they belong to, the extraordinary women who put up with them, and the venerable Hollywood legends that inexplicably deign to appear in their movies. Welcome to the Superpoll: Round II.

Chris Pratt and Chris Evans have gone to war. The second and third most handsome Marvel movie Chrisses (or third and second, maybe) have launched a Twitter feud over this coming weekend's Super Bowl between Pratt's team, the Seattle Seahawks, and Evans' team, the New England Patriots. Evans has now promised that if his team loses on Sunday, he'll visit the Seattle Children's Hospital in his Captain America costume, waving a Seahawks flag. But if Pratt's team loses, Pratt agrees he will visit the Christopher's Haven home for children with cancer in Boston, wearing his Star-Lord costume and a Tom Brady Patriots jersey. The stakes are high. And adorable. And only fate, and maybe sport, can decide the outcome of this bet. But we wanted to give ComicsAlliance readers a chance to weigh in on the Pratt/Evans handsome-face-off, so all this week we're running a series of polls pitting the world of Captain America against the world of Star-Lord. At the end of the week we'll tally up the results to see which of these men is the people's champion. Welcome to The Superpoll.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Blooper Reel: Watch Star-Lord, Rocket, and the Rest Goof Off
A lot of Blu-rays and DVDs put blooper reels on their DVD and Blu-ray releases, but Marvel Studios’ tend to be the best. When you get a bunch of really charismatic actors in crazy costumes and give them very silly dialogue, their inevitable mistakes are just so much funnier. Watching an actor mess around on set is funny, but watching an actor dressed like your favorite superhero goof around on set is hilarious. So, it should go without saying that the blooper reel for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is a real winner.

The whole Marvel Cinematic Universe is based around the fact that the strongest power in the universe are these magical Infinity Stones, gems of incredible power over time and space. When Ronan the Accuser combines an Infinity Stone with his hammer in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ he becomes nigh-invulnerable and almost unbeatable. The only things left to stop him from destroying the universe are the Guardians… and dance moves. Sweet hot funky dance moves.

Chris Pratt Named ComicsAlliance's Sexiest Man Alive
In a big year for comic book characters on the big screen, none were bigger or more swoonsome than Christopher Michael Pratt, the swaggering prince of twinkle-eyed handsomeness who brought boring 70s obscurity Star-Lord to thrilling, sexually stimulating life in this year's Guardians Of The Galaxy, and briefly made us feel alive again in this numbing, disconnected modern hellscape of free wi-fi and gluten free brownies. As is our long-standing tradition here at ComicsAlliance, we name a "sexiest man alive" every year without fail. Previous winners include Harry Hamlin, Mark Harmon, and two-time winner Namor McKenzie. This year there was never any doubt that our winner was going to be Peter Quill himself, Chris Pratt. Because Chris Hemsworth was in literally nothing. NOTHING. Sometimes it's really hard to get out of bed, you know?

Have I ever told you about the time I was hanging out in a bar at a convention years and years ago and I was talking to a Marvel editor about how they should do something with Rocket Raccoon, and the editor told me that would never, ever happen? Well, it turns out there are no bad characters, only characters that haven't been turned into Funko Pop vinyl figures yet. Flash forward to late 2014, and Marvel just announced a sixth Guardians Of The Galaxy ongoing title. Turns out raccoons make big bank. The new book is called Guardians Team-Up, and it features Guardians, teaming up. Brian Michael Bendis will write and Art Adams will draw the first story, co-starring the Avengers. They will probably fight first. (The Guardians and the Avengers. Not Bendis and Adams.)
